CMR'S Broadcast Verification Service (BVS) Now Offered In Canada
New Reach into the Top Six Major Markets Strengthens Firm's Capabilities
 
CMR, the leading provider of strategic advertising and marketing information, has added the top six Canadian markets to their Broadcast Verification Service (BVS), which tracks the occurrence of television programming and commercials within hours of airing.

The Canadian markets that BVS now serves include Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax as well as 39 (Specialty) cable television networks.

As it does for its monitoring of the top 100 markets in the United States, CMR's Broadcast Verification Services (BVS) uses an exclusive VEIL (Video Encoded Invisible Light) technology for its television monitoring in Canada. VEIL allows CMR to reliably track any television broadcasted material including commercials, video news releases, promos, public service announcements and programs. Among other uses, this service provides crucial overnight verification, allowing advertisers to detect if their spots have run at the correct times and to track the effectiveness of direct response campaigns. The immediacy of this information bypasses the traditionally manual affidavit process and allows for tactical adjustments if needed while the campaign is still "in flight."
