| CMR,
the leading provider of strategic advertising and marketing communication
information, today announced the acquisition of Adscope, Inc. by its
parent company, Taylor Nelson Sofres (TNS).
Adscope is a leading provider of competitive advertising expenditure
information for the high-tech industry. The company will now operate
as a division of CMR's business-to business operations.
This acquisition provides CMR with the capability to further expand
its business-to-business portfolio of services and publisher client
base in the U.S. and worldwide. CMR's goal is to develop a suite
of integrated services combining the in-depth detail from Adscope
with CMR's multi-media information.
"The acquisition of Adscope adds an important component to
CMR's total business-to-business offerings," said David Peeler,
president and CEO of CMR. "CMR now has the ability to offer
a comprehensive view of the high-tech industry as part of our total
marketing picture of competitive advertising activity."
For the past two decades, Adscope has worked with a number of key
clients in the publishing, agency and advertising industries including
Time, Inc., Red Herring, Ziff Davis Inc., Leo Burnett Technology
Group, McCann Erickson, and Agilent Technologies.
"Together, CMR and Adscope will be able to provide a broad
range of comprehensive services to our clients in a way that Adscope
cannot alone. We are excited about the synergies we can offer our
