AOL.com Dominates Network Web Site Revenues in 2001
Spenders for Leading Parent Web Sites Continue to be Populated by Dot.com Brands
 
AOL.com topped online revenues by parent Web site, at $439.5 million, in 20011, according to the latest figures from CMRi, the Internet division of CMR, a leading provider of strategic advertising and marketing communications information.

Other parent companies on CMRi's Top 10 totals are Yahoo, Excite Network and Microsoft Network, each generating $352.6 million $216.6 million and $182.5 million in revenues respectively.

Of the top spending advertisers, online brands continue to dominate in this category. On AOL.com's network site, leading online shopping service provider Amazon.com spent a total of $16.3 million in 2001. Coming in second and third on AOL.com was auction site Ebay.com ($13.4 million) and 1-800-Flowers.com ($11.1 million).
