Nesbitt Joins CMR's Wallace Marx Division

Mark L. Nesbitt has been appointed senior vice president and chief operating officer overseeing all aspects of Wallace Marx & Associates, the recently acquired division of CMR. Nesbitt will report directly to David Peeler, CMR president and CEO. CMR acquired Wallace Marx, a coupon and promotions tracking firm, in November 2000.

Before joining CMR, Nesbitt served as divisional vice president, chief operating officer of Pentax Vision Inc., an optical segment of Pentax Camera Corporation of Japan. Based in Minneapolis in that capacity, he was responsible for all operational, sales and marketing activities targeting the U.S., Canada and South America.

Prior to Pentax, Nesbitt served in various senior marketing capacities at such companies as Walman Optical Company and Newton Professional Purchasing.

"Mark has a proven record of excellence and brings solid operational and marketing experience to his new position within our Wallace Marx division," said Peeler. "As a team, we look forward to providing the advertiser and consumer packaged goods segments with the best in competitive intelligence."

Founded in 1982, Wallace Marx & Associates, based in Minneapolis, provides syndicated database research and competitive intelligence services related to coupon promotions. The information covers coupons distributed via free-standing inserts, in-store coupon machines and direct mail. Wallace Marx also gleans information about additional activity from a sample of consumer magazines and Sunday newspaper magazines.
